Public Assistance for February 1-2 Blizzard

Financial assistance is potentially available to local governments and certain private not-for-profit organizations to help with extraordinary costs related to the severe winter storm of February 1-2. The deadline for submission of the initial “Request for Public Assistance (RPA)” forms is Saturday, April 16th. Forms can be found at the IEMA website http://www.state.il.us/iema/disaster/pdf/FEMA%20Form%2090-49.pdf and should be faxed to the IEMA Public Assistance Division at 217-782-8753.

EOC Classes

The College of Lake County is hosting IEMA’s 2-day EOC Operations and Management class on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 30-31. Class will be held in the Technology Building at the Grayslake campus.
CLC is also hosting IEMA’s 1-day EOC-ICS Interface class on Thursday, April 1. This class will also be held in the Technology Building at the Grayslake campus.
Both classes require pre-registration through the IEMA website.
